Kamloops, B.C.: ARPA Investments (ARPA) is celebrating the successful rezoning application for their newest development Thompson Landing on Royal, approved at a City of Kamloops City Council meeting yesterday. The multi-unit riverfront development is the North Shore’s newest residential addition to the community, expanding the housing inventory in the city with unique waterfront living options.
“Thompson Landing on Royal was introduced to the public in January of this year, where we shared our intention to activate the potential of riverfront properties along the Tranquille corridor,” said Joshua Knaak, one of the partners of ARPA. “After yesterday’s Council meeting, City Council unanimously approved our rezoning application of the property from single-family to multi-family zoning. We are excited and look forward to bringing unique waterfront living options to Kamloops.”
Highlights of Thompson Landing on Royal include:
● 64 residential units, from studio units to two-bedroom + den suites, and rooftop terraces
● central open-air courtyard overlooking the river
● covered, concrete parking structure with 86 parking stalls
● electric vehicle charging stations
● energy-efficient construction designed to maximize efficiency and minimize carbon footprint
“Royal Avenue is a bit of a hidden gem and a great spot to live,” said Knaak, who himself has recently moved into the neighbourhood. “New residents will enjoy North Shore amenities like McDonald Park, the Rivers Trail, local craft beer at Bright Eye Brewing, and culinary delights at the Yew Street Food Hall set to open in a few months. All in very close proximity.”
